Responsibilities
- Perform accurate blood draws and specimen collection in clinical settings
- Maintain sterile equipment and adhere to OSHA/HIPAA protocols
- Process, label, and transport specimens with precision
- Provide patient education and comfort during procedures
- Collaborate with lab teams for timely sample processing
- Document procedures using electronic health records (EHR)
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives
Qualifications
- Active California Phlebotomy Technician certification (CPT)
- 1+ years of clinical phlebotomy experience
- Strong venipuncture and capillary puncture skills
- Excellent communication and patient interaction abilities
- Proficiency with EHR systems and specimen tracking software
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends
- CPR/BLS certification required
