Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms, equipment, and sterile fields for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Monitor remote surgical feeds and provide real-time technical support
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce infection control protocols
- Document procedures accurately in electronic health records
- Coordinate with surgical teams via telecommunication platforms
- Manage inventory and sterilization of surgical instruments
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification
- Minimum 2 years of operating room experience
- Proficiency with telemedicine and remote monitoring systems
- Strong knowledge of sterile processing and surgical protocols
- Ability to work independently and remotely while maintaining team coordination
- Excellent communication skills for virtual collaboration
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Texas state surgical tech license
