Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile fields and surgical instruments in hybrid remote/on-site capacity
- Assist surgeons during procedures using robotic and traditional equipment
- Maintain sterile environments and adhere to OSHA/AORN protocols
- Document surgical cases remotely via EMR systems
- Inventory and manage surgical supplies across multiple locations
- Train on new surgical technologies and techniques
- Mentor junior techs through our apprenticeship program
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification required
- 2+ years of recent OR experience in general surgery
- Proficiency with robotic surgical systems (da Vinci preferred)
- Ability to travel to Glendale facilities for surgical cases
- Strong documentation skills for remote EMR work
- BLS/CPR certification (maintained current)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
- Experience with sterile processing protocols
