Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms, equipment, and sterile fields for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Coordinate remotely with sterile processing and supply chain teams
- Maintain accurate electronic documentation of surgical cases
- Participate in virtual training and continuing education programs
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and sterile processing protocols
- Collaborate with telehealth teams for pre-op virtual consultations
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of OR experience in surgical specialties
- Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Ability to travel to Madison facility for surgical cases (3 days/week)
- Strong communication skills for remote team coordination
- Basic knowledge of telehealth platforms
- Current BLS certification
- Experience with robotic surgical systems preferred
