Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile surgical equipment and maintain sterile environments in operating rooms
- Assist surgeons during procedures with instrument passing and wound closure
- Coordinate remotely with surgical teams for case preparation and documentation
- Manage inventory and sterilization of surgical instruments and supplies
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and JCAHO standards
- Provide patient positioning and equipment troubleshooting support
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- 2+ years of surgical tech experience in OR setting
- Proficiency in sterile processing and HIPAA compliance
- Ability to work independently with remote coordination tools
- Strong communication skills for hybrid team collaboration
- Basic knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Ability to stand for extended periods during surgical procedures
