Responsibilities
- Process and submit medical claims to insurance payers with 99% accuracy
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits before service rendering
- Conduct thorough claim follow-ups and resolve denials efficiently
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer regulations
- Utilize Epic and NextGen billing systems for daily operations
- Collaborate with providers to clarify coding documentation
- Generate monthly reports on denial trends and revenue cycle metrics
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a US healthcare setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Expert knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
- Proficiency in medical billing software (Epic, NextGen, or similar)
- Strong analytical skills for claim denial resolution
- Excellent communication skills for provider/payer interactions
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred
