Responsibilities
- Review and code medical services using ICD-10 and CPT guidelines
- Submit electronic claims to insurance payers and track payment status
- Resolve billing discrepancies through patient/provider communication
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations
- Analyze denial trends and implement corrective actions
- Generate monthly revenue cycle performance reports
- Collaborate with clinical teams for documentation accuracy
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience
- Certification as CPB (Certified Professional Biller) or CPC
- Expertise in medical coding systems (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS)
- Proficiency with Epic, Athena, or similar EHR systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills
