Responsibilities
- Process and submit clean claims to insurance carriers with 95%+ accuracy
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits for all encounters
- Resolve claim denials and rejections within 3 business days
- Conduct regular audits of coding and billing documentation
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant patient records and billing systems
- Collaborate with providers to clarify coding ambiguities
- Generate monthly revenue cycle reports for leadership review
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a US healthcare setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC credential required
- Expert knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
- Proficient in Epic, NextGen, or similar EHR systems
- Strong understanding of Medicare/Medicaid/Commercial billing rules
