Responsibilities
- Accurately code and submit medical claims using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes
- Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for patients
- Resolve claim denials and rejections through meticulous follow-up
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure documentation accuracy
- Generate monthly reports on billing performance and KPIs
- Utilize EHR systems (Epic/Cerner preferred) for claim management
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Proficiency in medical coding (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS)
- Strong knowledge of insurance claim processes and payers
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Experience with EHR/EMR systems and billing software
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
