Responsibilities
- Process and submit medical claims to insurance carriers with 99% accuracy
- Analyze EOBs and patient statements to resolve billing discrepancies
- Ensure HIPAA compliance in all billing operations and documentation
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to verify coding and documentation
- Generate monthly financial reports and revenue cycle analytics
- Stay current with CMS regulations and coding updates (ICD-10, CPT)
- Train staff on new billing procedures and software systems
Qualifications
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with insurance carriers
- Expertise in Epic or NextGen EHR systems
- Strong knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and billing analytics tools
- Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration preferred
