Responsibilities
- Accurately process and dispense prescription medications in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Provide exceptional telepharmacy customer service to patients and healthcare providers
- Maintain precise electronic health records and inventory management systems
- Collaborate with pharmacists on medication therapy reviews and clinical interventions
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and data security protocols for all remote operations
- Assist with prior authorizations and insurance verification processes
- Participate in continuous training for new pharmaceutical technologies and protocols
Qualifications
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license required
- 1+ years of pharmacy technician experience in retail or hospital settings
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Exceptional communication skills for remote patient interactions
- Strong attention to detail and medication compounding knowledge
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- High-speed internet connection and dedicated home office setup
- Basic understanding of sterile compounding and IV admixtures preferred
