Responsibilities
- Perform accurate venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures
- Coordinate with remote physicians for specimen handling protocols
- Utilize telehealth platforms for patient pre-screening and education
- Maintain detailed electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and CLIA regulations
- Train patients on at-home collection techniques when applicable
- Collaborate with lab teams for result delivery and follow-up
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP or equivalent)
- Texas Phlebotomy license (or ability to obtain immediately)
- Minimum 1 year clinical phlebotomy experience
- Proficiency with telehealth software and EHR systems
- Strong communication skills for virtual patient interactions
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- CPR/BLS certification required
- Valid driver's license for occasional site visits
