Responsibilities
- Perform accurate blood collections and specimen processing at patient homes or satellite clinics
- Coordinate virtual patient scheduling and pre-procedure consultations via HIPAA-compliant platforms
- Maintain electronic health records with precision and attention to regulatory compliance
- Train patients on self-collection techniques for specialized testing
- Collaborate with remote medical teams to optimize care protocols
- Conduct quality assurance reviews of specimen handling procedures
- Provide telephonic support for patient inquiries and result delivery
Qualifications
- Active Alaska Phlebotomy Technician certification required
- Minimum 2 years clinical phlebotomy experience
- Valid Alaska driver's license with clean record
- Proficiency in telehealth platforms (Zoom, Doxy.me) and EHR systems
- Exceptional communication skills for remote patient interactions
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Ability to work independently while adhering to strict protocols
- Experience with pediatric and geriatric blood collection techniques
