Responsibilities
- Conduct virtual pre-draw consultations to verify patient eligibility and explain procedures
- Coordinate with mobile phlebotomists to optimize collection routes and patient scheduling
- Ensure HIPAA compliance in all digital communications and documentation
- Train patients on proper at-home blood sample collection techniques
- Monitor real-time sample tracking and resolve logistical issues
- Collaborate with lab teams to ensure accurate result delivery
- Maintain digital inventory of collection supplies and equipment
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years clinical phlebotomy experience
- Strong telehealth platform proficiency (Zoom, Epic MyChart)
- Exceptional verbal communication skills for virtual patient interactions
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Valid Michigan phlebotomy license
- High-speed home internet and quiet workspace
