Responsibilities
- Conduct virtual patient consultations to prepare for blood collection procedures
- Guide patients through remote specimen collection using specialized kits
- Verify patient identification and sample integrity via video monitoring
- Coordinate with local partner clinics for in-person collection when required
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation
- Ensure strict compliance with OSHA and HIPAA regulations
- Provide exceptional patient support throughout the collection process
Qualifications
- Current Oregon Phlebotomy Technician certification (required)
- Minimum 2 years clinical phlebotomy experience
- Proficiency with telehealth platforms and electronic health records
- Strong communication skills for remote patient guidance
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to travel to Portland metro area for quarterly team meetings
- Experience with pediatric and geriatric blood collection preferred
- Attention to detail with specimen handling protocols
