Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough telephone and video assessments of patient symptoms using evidence-based protocols
- Determine appropriate level of care urgency and provide clinical guidance to patients
- Accurately document patient encounters in Epic EHR systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Collaborate with on-site providers and specialists for complex cases requiring escalation
- Delicate patient education on home care management and when to seek emergency care
- Maintain precise documentation and quality metrics for continuous improvement
- Participate in regular case reviews and quality assurance initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Minnesota (or compact state with ability to obtain MN license)
- Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience in emergency, urgent care, or telehealth
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Expertise in symptom assessment and clinical decision-making
- Proficiency with telehealth platforms and electronic health records
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to de-escalate anxious patients
- Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
