Responsibilities
- Provide direct, high-quality patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient needs according to the nursing process.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and according to hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any significant changes or abnormalities to the charge nurse or provider immediately.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans and ensure patient safety.
- Document all patient interactions, care provided, and changes in condition accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Respond promptly to code blue and emergency situations, demonstrating leadership and clinical expertise.
- Assist in the admission and discharge processes, ensuring all paperwork is completed and patient education is delivered.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of Tennessee.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred, but new graduates with strong clinical rotations are encouraged to apply.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient and family education.
- Commitment to professional development and adherence to hospital policies and regulatory standards.
