Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Provide medication reminders and assist with light medication administration.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments and social activities.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry tasks to maintain a safe, clean environment.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to reduce feelings of isolation.
- Monitor client health and report any changes or concerns to the care manager.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate demeanor.
- Previous experience in home health or personal care is a plus.
- Ability to lift and transfer clients safely.
