Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect.
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks tailored to specific dietary requirements and health needs.
- Provide engaging companionship and emotional support to reduce isolation and improve mental well-being.
- Administer medication reminders and assist with light housekeeping, laundry, and errands.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, social outings, and community events.
- Monitor clients' health and report any changes in physical or mental condition to the on-call care coordinator immediately.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized living environment for all clients.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; CNA or Home Health Aide certification preferred.
- Valid Driver's License and clean driving record required.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and a patient, empathetic demeanor.
- Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and assist with mobility needs.
- Basic computer proficiency for logging care notes and timesheets.
