Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of advanced statistical algorithms for demographic forecasting and population estimation.
- Oversee the security architecture and data integrity protocols for sensitive census information.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate real-time data processing systems and cloud infrastructure.
- Design scalable data warehouses capable of handling petabytes of demographic information.
- Provide technical guidance on census methodologies and best practices to junior analysts and developers.
- Conduct rigorous testing and validation of data models to ensure compliance with federal standards.
Qualifications
- PhD or Masterβs degree in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in large-scale data projects, preferably within government or public sector.
- Expert proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).
- Deep understanding of US Census methodologies, data privacy laws (HIPAA/GDPR), and confidentiality requirements.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Security Clearance.
- Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
