Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including oral surgeries and restorative treatments
- Manage digital radiography systems and intraoral imaging with precision
- Sterilize equipment and maintain OSHA-compliant operatory protocols
- Take accurate dental impressions and fabricate temporary prosthetics
- Train junior staff on advanced chairside techniques
- Implement infection control protocols exceeding industry standards
- Coordinate with labs on case-specific prosthetic requirements
Qualifications
- 3+ years of dental assisting experience in a high-volume practice
- Current RDA license and X-ray certification in California
- Expertise in digital imaging (CBCT, intraoral cameras)
- CPR/BLS certification with current renewal
- Knowledge of dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft)
- Exceptional chairside demeanor for anxious patient management
- Experience with orthodontic and implant procedures
