Responsibilities
- Lead horizon-scanning initiatives to identify disruptive technologies and societal shifts affecting 2026+ markets
- Develop evidence-based scenario models for climate adaptation, AI governance, and space colonization
- Collaborate with C-suite executives to embed foresight into corporate strategy and R&D pipelines
- Produce annual 'Future State' white papers presented at Davos, TED, and UN forums
- Design ethical frameworks for emerging technologies including synthetic biology and quantum encryption
- Manage global network of 50+ futurist researchers across 12 innovation hubs
- Secure $5M+ annual funding through NSF grants and corporate partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD or equivalent in Futures Studies, Systems Theory, or transdisciplinary field
- 10+ years experience in strategic foresight with Fortune 500 or government agencies
- Published author in peer-reviewed futures journals (e.g., Technological Forecasting)
- Expertise in Monte Carlo simulations, Delphi methodology, and causal layered analysis
- Deep understanding of quantum computing, genetic engineering, and climate modeling
- Proven track record securing $1M+ in research grants
- Fluency in futures forecasting tools (e.g., Scenarios, Wild Cards, STEEP analysis)
- Portfolio of 3+ implemented strategic initiatives with measurable impact
