Responsibilities
- Provide personalized care to elderly and disabled clients including bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance
- Monitor vital signs and document health status changes accurately
- Administer medications and assist with medical equipment per care plans
- Prepare nutritious meals and manage household tasks for client comfort
- Transport clients to medical appointments and social activities
- Maintain detailed care records and communicate with healthcare teams
- Implement infection control protocols and maintain safe home environments
Qualifications
- New York State HHA certification with minimum 2 years experience
- CPR/First Aid certification and valid driver's license
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
- Strong interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems
- Reliable transportation and clean driving record
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
