Responsibilities
- Accurately code diagnoses and procedures using CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS systems
- Submit clean electronic claims to insurance payers and government programs
- Manage denial resolution and appeals processes with 95%+ accuracy
- Conduct thorough account reconciliations and financial reporting
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and documentation standards
- Collaborate with clinical teams to resolve billing discrepancies
- Utilize Epic EHR and NextGen practice management systems
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in ambulatory care
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC credential required
- Expert knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer policies
- Advanced proficiency in billing software and claim scrubbers
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with RCM cycle management and A/R optimization
