Responsibilities
- Process and submit clean claims to insurance companies and government payers
- Conduct thorough claim denials analysis and appeals preparation
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits prior to service delivery
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer-specific regulations
- Collaborate with clinical teams to resolve billing discrepancies
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic EMR system
- Generate monthly performance reports for revenue cycle leadership
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in physician practice or hospital setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Expert knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding guidelines
- Proficiency with NextGen or Epic EMR systems
- Strong analytical skills for complex claim resolution
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to manage high-volume claim processing with 95% accuracy
