- Accurately code diagnoses and procedures using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS systems
- Manage claim submission and follow-up for commercial and government payers
- Resolve billing discrepancies through insurance verification and appeals
- Analyze aging reports to maximize revenue collection efficiency
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer regulations
- Collaborate with clinical teams to document services correctly
- Generate monthly financial reports for department leadership
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with RCM systems
- Certification (CPC, COC, or CPB) required
- Expertise in medical coding guidelines and payer policies
- Proficiency in Epic, Athenahealth, or similar EHR platforms
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Experience with Medicare/Medicaid billing processes
