Responsibilities
- Accurately code and submit medical claims using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS guidelines
- Manage denial resolution and appeals process with 95%+ success rate
- Conduct insurance verification and benefit analysis for complex cases
- Reconcile accounts receivable and maintain aging reports
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure documentation compliance
- Train junior staff on billing protocols and industry updates
- Implement process improvements using Epic EMR systems
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in outpatient/physician setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC credential required
- Expert knowledge of HIPAA, CMS, and commercial payer regulations
- Advanced proficiency in Epic Resolute and ClaimLogic platforms
- Strong analytical skills with attention to financial detail
- Experience with denial root cause analysis and trending
