Responsibilities
- Accurately code and submit complex medical claims using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes
- Manage accounts receivable and resolve billing discrepancies with insurance payers
- Ensure HIPAA compliance in all billing processes and patient data handling
- Conduct audits to maximize reimbursement rates and minimize claim denials
- Train junior billing staff on best practices and regulatory updates
- Collaborate with providers to resolve billing inquiries and documentation issues
- Optimize billing workflows using Epic and NextGen EHR systems
Qualifications
- 5+ years of medical billing experience in a multi-specialty practice
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
