Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and tracking controlled substances
- Process insurance claims and assist with third-party billing
- Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, and storage instructions
- Maintain HIPAA compliance for all patient records and communications
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve medication discrepancies
- Utilize pharmacy software for order entry and prescription verification
Qualifications
- Current Pharmacy Technician certification in Wisconsin (PhT or CPhT)
- Minimum 1 year retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of prescription medications and pharmaceutical terminology
- Proficiency in pharmacy management systems (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in medication handling
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Valid Wisconsin driver's license and reliable transportation
