Responsibilities
- Verify and process patient insurance claims (CMS-1500) with a high degree of accuracy.
- Analyze and manage claim denials and appeals to maximize revenue recovery.
- Utilize advanced EHR and billing software to update patient records and financial data.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and patients to resolve billing discrepancies and questions.
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and internal billing policies.
- Perform monthly financial audits and reporting to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Qualifications
- Certification in Medical Billing (RHIT, CPC, COC, or RHIA preferred).
- 3-5 years of experience in medical billing, coding, or revenue cycle management.
- Proficient in CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding guidelines.
- Strong knowledge of insurance verification and claim submission processes.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
