Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense and verify prescription medications
- Manage inventory control and ordering systems
- Assist in sterile compounding of IV medications
- Provide patient counseling on medication usage
- Maintain HIPAA compliance in all documentation
- Train junior pharmacy technicians
- Coordinate with insurance providers for prior authorizations
- Operate automated dispensing systems
Qualifications
- Active Arizona Pharmacy Technician license
- Minimum 2 years retail/hospital experience
- PTCB certification required
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (QS1, Rx30)
- Strong knowledge of DEA regulations
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and stand for extended periods
- CPR certification preferred
