Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense and verify prescription medications using robotic dispensing systems
- Manage inventory control for controlled substances and high-cost biologics
- Provide exceptional patient counseling on medication administration and side effects
- Coordinate with insurance providers for prior authorizations and billing
- Maintain compliance with DEA, FDA, and Georgia Board of Pharmacy regulations
- Train junior technicians on compounding and sterile preparation techniques
- Utilimize EHR systems to maintain accurate patient medication records
Qualifications
- Active Georgia Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 3 years experience in retail or hospital pharmacy setting
- CPR certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Exceptional attention to detail and mathematical accuracy
- Strong communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and stand for extended periods
