Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense and verify medications with zero tolerance for errors
- Process prescriptions through advanced pharmacy management systems
- Administer immunizations and perform health screenings
- Maintain controlled substance inventory with DEA compliance
- Train and mentor junior pharmacy technicians
- Coordinate with insurance providers for billing accuracy
- Participate in inventory management and vendor relations
- Ensure HIPAA compliance for all patient interactions
Qualifications
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT)
- Minimum 2 years retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- CPR/BLS certification (or willing to obtain within 30 days)
- Proficiency in pharmacy software (QS1, Omnicell, etc.)
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
- Strong communication skills with diverse patient populations
- High school diploma or equivalent; college preferred
