Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense medications with zero-error focus
- Manage inventory control and automated dispensing systems
- Assist in sterile compounding of IV medications and chemotherapy agents
- Provide medication counseling to patients and healthcare providers
- Maintain compliance with DEA, FDA, and state pharmacy regulations
- Train and mentor junior pharmacy technicians
- Utilize Epic EMR for medication order processing and documentation
Qualifications
- Active Colorado Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 2 years hospital pharmacy experience required
- Certification in sterile compounding (ASHP preferred)
- Strong knowledge of medication safety protocols
- Ability to operate automated dispensing cabinets (Pyxis/Talisman)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 25 lbs
- Basic computer proficiency with EMR systems
