Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control and order pharmaceutical supplies efficiently
- Process insurance claims and maintain electronic health records
- Provide exceptional patient counseling on medication usage and side effects
- Train and mentor junior pharmacy technicians
- Ensure compliance with all DEA, HIPAA, and state pharmacy regulations
Qualifications
- Active Kentucky Pharmacy Technician license required
- PTCB certification preferred (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
- Minimum 2 years of retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Proficient in pharmacy software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in high-pressure situations
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
