Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and compound sterile/non-sterile medications following USP 797 standards
- Manage prescription processing from intake to final verification using advanced pharmacy software
- Conduct inventory control and medication ordering for 500+ SKUs
- Provide patient counseling on medication usage and side effects
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant records and documentation
- Train junior technicians on new protocols and technologies
- Collaborate with pharmacists on clinical initiatives
Qualifications
- Pennsylvania Pharmacy Technician license (active)
- 2+ years hospital or specialty pharmacy experience
- CPhT (PTCB) certification required
- Proficiency in pharmacy management systems (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1)
- Strong knowledge of sterile compounding techniques
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Basic understanding of third-party billing processes
