Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications and verify dosages
- Manage inventory control and automated dispensing systems
- Provide patient consultations on medication usage and side effects
- Collaborate with pharmacists on clinical protocols
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant patient records
- Train junior technicians on pharmacy workflows
- Coordinate with insurance providers for billing
Qualifications
- Active Oregon Pharmacy Technician license
- 3+ years of retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- CompTIA Healthcare IT certification preferred
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS/1, Omnicell)
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and patient service skills
