Responsibilities
- Accurately compound and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control and ordering for pharmaceutical supplies
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant patient records and prescription databases
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers
- Operate automated dispensing systems and compounding equipment
- Coordinate with insurance providers for prescription verification
- Train junior technicians on pharmacy protocols and safety standards
Qualifications
- Active PTCB certification or Pennsylvania pharmacy technician license
- Minimum 3 years of hospital or retail pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1)
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical compounding techniques
- Excellent attention to detail and error-prevention skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- CPR certification preferred
