Responsibilities
- Accurately compound, dispense, and verify medications following sterile technique protocols
- Manage complex inventory systems with automated dispensing technology
- Collaborate with pharmacists on medication therapy management for high-acuity patients
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant electronic health records and prescription databases
- Train and mentor junior pharmacy technicians on compounding procedures
- Oversee sterile product preparation for chemotherapy and IV medications
Qualifications
- Current Tennessee Pharmacy Technician license with active PTCB certification
- Minimum 3 years of acute care/hospital pharmacy experience
- Advanced compounding skills including sterile and non-sterile preparations
- Proficiency in pharmacy management systems (e.g., Omnicell, Cerner)
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in fast-paced environments
