Responsibilities
- Compound and dispense medications with precision using automated dispensing systems
- Verify prescription orders for accuracy and completeness before patient release
- Manage inventory control including controlled substance documentation and recalls
- Train junior technicians on pharmacy software and regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with pharmacists on clinical interventions and patient counseling
- Maintain HIPAA compliance in all patient interactions and record-keeping
Qualifications
- Active Tennessee Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 3 years hospital pharmacy experience required
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1)
- Compounding certification (ASCP preferred) or willingness to obtain
- Exceptional attention to detail with zero-medication-error record
