Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control and medication ordering systems with precision
- Provide exceptional patient counseling on medication usage and side effects
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant electronic health records and documentation
- Train and mentor junior pharmacy technicians
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes
- Oversee sterile compounding procedures following USP 797 standards
Qualifications
- Active Washington State Pharmacy Technician license
- PTCB certification with 2+ years of retail/hospital experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy management systems (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Strong knowledge of medication safety protocols and sterile compounding
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Basic understanding of insurance billing processes
- High school diploma or equivalent required
