Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense medications following hospital protocols
- Manage inventory control and automated dispensing systems
- Collaborate with pharmacists on sterile compounding and IV admixtures
- Provide exceptional patient counseling on medication usage
- Maintain precise electronic health records and documentation
- Ensure compliance with FDA and DEA regulations
- Train junior pharmacy technicians on best practices
Qualifications
- Active Washington State Pharmacy Technician license
- 2+ years hospital pharmacy experience
- CPhT certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of sterile compounding procedures
- Excellent communication and multitasking abilities
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., Omnicell, Cerner)
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends
