Responsibilities
- Accurately compound and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Verify patient information and medication orders for safety compliance
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and rotation of pharmaceutical products
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Maintain precise documentation of all pharmacy transactions and controlled substances
- Assist with pharmacy operations including third-party billing and insurance verification
- Train and mentor junior pharmacy technicians
Qualifications
- Active Arizona Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT)
- Minimum 2 years of retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of FDA regulations and HIPAA compliance
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS/1, Omnicell)
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations
- Valid Arizona driver's license and reliable transportation
- Basic IV compounding certification preferred
