Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections with precision and patient comfort
- Process and transport specimens ensuring chain-of-custody compliance
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in LIS systems
- Train junior phlebotomists on advanced techniques and protocols
- Implement infection control procedures and safety standards
- Collaborate with laboratory staff for efficient workflow
Qualifications
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or equivalent required
- 3+ years of clinical phlebotomy experience
- BLS/CPR certification
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance protocols
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
- Ability to work efficiently in high-volume settings
