Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections with precision and patient comfort
- Process specimens using advanced lab equipment and maintain strict quality control
- Train junior phlebotomy staff on best practices and new technologies
- Manage inventory and equipment calibration for optimal workflow
- Document procedures accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with laboratory and clinical teams for seamless patient care
Qualifications
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or equivalent credential
- 3+ years of clinical phlebotomy experience
- Experience with pediatric, geriatric, and difficult vein access
- OSHA and HIPAA compliance expertise
- BLS certification with current CPR credentials
- Strong interpersonal skills for diverse patient populations
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
