Responsibilities
- Perform complex venipuncture and capillary blood draws with precision and minimal discomfort
- Process and transport specimens following strict CLIA/CAP protocols
- Maintain accurate patient records in our electronic health system
- Train junior staff on advanced phlebotomy techniques
- Collaborate with lab supervisors on quality improvement initiatives
- Ensure HIPAA compliance at all stages of specimen handling
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience in a clinical setting
- Current Arizona Phlebotomy Technician certification (PTC)
- BLS/CPR certification from a recognized provider
- Proven ability to handle high-volume patient flow
- Experience with pediatric and geriatric blood collection
- Exceptional communication and patient rapport skills
- Proficiency in LIS/HIS systems (e.g., Cerner, Epic)
