Responsibilities
- Perform complex venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures with precision
- Process and transport specimens to maintain sample integrity and chain of custody
- Maintain detailed patient records and ensure HIPAA compliance
- Operate advanced lab equipment including automated analyzers and centrifuges
- Train junior staff on phlebotomy best practices and safety protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and lab scientists on specialized testing protocols
Qualifications
- Current Arizona Phlebotomy Technician certification (PTC) required
- Minimum 3 years of clinical phlebotomy experience
- Experience with pediatric, geriatric, and difficult-access collections
- Proficiency in LIS systems and electronic documentation
- BLS/CPR certification with current renewal
- Exceptional interpersonal skills for patient communication
