Responsibilities
- Perform venipunctures and capillary draws with precision and minimal patient discomfort.
- Verify patient identities and prepare medical records for blood collection procedures.
- Maintain strict inventory control of blood collection supplies and laboratory equipment.
- Ensure strict compliance with OSHA and CLIA regulations regarding safety and hygiene.
- Collaborate with nurses and physicians to facilitate efficient patient flow in the clinic.
- Process and label blood specimens accurately for laboratory analysis.
Qualifications
- Current Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) certification required.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional phlebotomy experience in a clinical setting.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (optional, for local travel).
