Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain sterile surgical environments and equipment
- Assist surgeons during complex surgical procedures with precision and expertise
- Manage surgical inventory and ensure optimal instrument availability
- Monitor patient safety protocols and compliance with OSHA/JCAHO standards
- Coordinate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless surgical workflows
- Train junior technicians on advanced surgical techniques
- Document procedures accurately and maintain electronic health records
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with current BLS certification
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Level I trauma center OR
- Expertise in orthopedic, neuro, or cardiovascular specialties
- Strong knowledge of sterile processing and surgical instrumentation
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure, fast-paced surgical environments
- Exceptional attention to detail and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
