Responsibilities
- Conduct rapid patient assessments in emergency department triage using ESI protocols
- Make critical prioritization decisions for life-threatening conditions
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to develop treatment pathways
- Oversee junior triage staff and implement quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate electronic health records with 99% compliance
- Participate in trauma activations and disaster response protocols
- Provide telehealth triage services for network affiliates
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Michigan with minimum 5 years ER experience
- ENPC or TNCC certification required
- BSN or MSN degree preferred
- Expertise in ESI 5-level triage methodology
- Proven ability to handle high-volume, high-acuity cases
- Strong communication skills with diverse populations
- Experience with Epic EMR systems
- ACLS/BLS certifications maintained
